Decorating... it is fun!

So, we are still in London but we are ok, don't worry. We have been very busy decorating our flat. We have gotten a bit distracted with this decorating as we have found out that it is actually super fun to decorate.

We have almost finished the living room and the bedroom and we are very pleased with ourselves. Despite a lot of advice to stick to boring boring neutral colours (see Getting Ready) we've totally ignored this and gone with an awesome colour scheme of yellow and purple. This made my dad ask (sarcastically) 'Oh, which design consultant did you use?' ha ha ha.

Purple and yellow looks lovely together. I was a tad concerned when we first opened the purple as it does look a lot like black cherry yoghurt, but it turned out well.

As Nic said "It doesn't look so bad that we should change it."

We have found that decorating is really fun (and really distracting). We are also really good at it (and modest). We could do your flat for you if you like, we have reasonable rates.

Juice - healthy and pretty!

We bought a juicer! This is mainly because we watched an awesome film about juicing. We realised that we were nutritionally starved as we had packed up most of our kitchen utensils and couldn't cook as well as we were used to, so now we supplement our food with healthy, healthy juice.

We've also been estate agent shopping. 

We've picked one based on who we liked best. They were also the second cheapest. The lady we spoke to was very sensible and reassuring and that's why we picked her. Also she was Irish and had a nice accent.

Decorating is quite tiring really.

 So that is our news for now. We've got our leaving do this weekend, but we've not actually booked our tickets or anything. I'm expecting lots of people to ask 'When are you leaving?' which will piss me off after 6 times or so, but that's ok. I'm looking forward to seeing people again, it's been a while.

Oh, and we got the carpet fitted the other day - that was very exciting. It is a sort of light brown. It's not interesting enough to take a photo of, but it is very nice and makes us happy.

 We are jealous of our tenants really. They will be living in a much nicer flat than we ever did.
