Zambia

Some Zambinians
"People talk of the sacrifice I have made in spending so much of my life in Africa. It is emphatically no sacrifice. Say rather it is a privilege."
David Livingstone

Zambia - on a map!
I don't really know the history. I think there was a man called Livingstone and he was British and his friend famously said:
"Ah, Dr Livingstone, I presume?"
And he probably said "Yes."

And then when he dies he said :
"Kismet, Hardy."
And all that happened in... Zambia!

I am very excited about going to Zambia.  Although it is landlocked so there'll be no more beaches, there is still a lot of awesome to see here.  Particularly some big ass waterfalls.

Big!
Happily, Victoria falls is located near the town of Livingstone, so that'll make it easier for us to find it.

Amusingly there is also a hostel near the falls called Fawlty Towers.  I want to stay there.

So here's what my research has come up with so far...

Here's some Government advice on travel in Zambia

Here's a list of some campsites in Zambia.

Some info on crossing the boarder.

Croc Valley Camp

Here is Croc Valley camp.. it looks so fricking awesome - we have to go here.  It is also very cheap compared to other campsites we've checked out.

And here are some of the animals that we are definitely going to see all the time while we're in Zambia!

Cute little leopard

Cute massive hippo
