Tanzania

After Mozambique we'll take on Tanzania. Slightly unsure exactly how to get in to Tanzania at the moment, but I'm sure we'll figure it out when we're at the border.

So this is Tanzania

The general plan at the moment is to get into Tanzania at the bottom right corner and head up to Dar es Salaam.

Dar es Salaam, I think it is the capital of Tanzania?
Here's an awesome looking place that I want to stay at in Dar es Salaam.

I really wanted to go to Mahale Mountain National Reserve which is sort of mid-west Tanzania. There's some lovely places to stay there and it's a nice mix of forest and water. But when we started looking into this it seems there are no roads of any sort that would take us this far in. I think you can only get there by boat.
Lovely place in Kipili
It's also shockingly expensive, I guess partly because of how remote it is, but also it is just a really beautiful place.

Another reason that Mahale is awesome is that it has a lot of monkeys!

Here's a Trip Advisor review on Mahale.

Here's some Tanzania information from their tourist board.

And usefully here's a list of campsites in Tanzania.

The Kalambo Falls are at the border of Tanzania and Zambia.

Kalambo Falls
Apparently these are quite difficult to get to, but after doing quite a bit of research, we are convinced that there is a road to the falls, so we should be ok.

Google maps seemed a little unsure if there were any roads in Tanzania, so our road research consisted of finding this map of 'Roads in Tanzania':

Roads!
Some dude did a nice review of Kalambo Falls on Trip Advisor.

Then after the falls, we will be in Zambia!
