We've Actually Booked Our Tickets!!!

Yes, we have! It's actually happened and last night in a fit of madness, we bought our plane tickets to Krabi and booked a rather nice hotel for our first week.

It's all terribly exciting, but I'm really just a bit overwhelmed. I've suddenly gone completely blank about what we actually need to do before we go. We have a week. A week is not actually a long time.

I'm also struggling a bit with the realisation of how much I'm going to miss my sister while I'm away. I know about Skype and all that, but it is not the same. That is going to be the most difficult part of this. I've been to visit with her recently and that was really fun, but not enough. I've missed her since she moved to Devon, and now I'm moving even further away. But... it's not for ever. I'll be back soon.

So I think we'll be happy there. There is also wifi which is good. We're not ready to go completely internet free just yet. We'll freak out and kill each other within the first hour.

So now we just have to do all the boring things we've been putting off, like tell the sodding bank that we're travelling. We attempted to sort out travel insurance yesterday. That turned into a bit of a nightmare and ended in me refusing to have anything to do with it. In the end I got my mum to get my dad to talk to Nic about it and I think they may have sorted something out. At least now everyone agrees that we need some sort of insurance.

But none of that really matters as in just one week from now we will be here...
